Severe losses in Amsterdam, from Flight Vice Capta

Having just returned from our mission to "The Dam" I have to inform you that we took several direct hits, I counted them all out and counted them back, we have to report two losses, and several injuries, some of them might not recover either. At the moment the details are a bit sketchy, and if rehab doesn't work, they will remain sketchy forever. The injuries sustained might just result in loss of wife, Willie Fleming, you know who I am talking about. Our reporter in the field will report in his usual fashion I am sure, upon his return.
Unfortunately I did not travel by bus to and from this game, it was my complete mis-fortune to have to fly, I was really wishing I was down there with the chaps and chapettes, Its a rotten job flying, but someone had to do it.

Aye Vicey the fields of the low countries were littered with bodies and Tennant's cans.  Everyone went over the top at 10.00 a.m. (except John and Lennie).  I'm pleased to report that these two brave soldiers managed to escape without even needing to go to the Swiss Border, nor steal a motorbike and jump high barbed wire.  I'm told they absconded on one of Jerry's planes and travelled incognito (although to be fair I've never heard of that airline).  They made it home under real double cover as their flight landed in Englandshire. Both now have drank several pints of Tennants and some wallet replenishment so they are fully recovered.

What about the rest? Jings the injuries were severe all kinds of poisions were put before the troops.  There was funny smelling coffee in the shops, the odour of The Boy Wonder's socks but worse still some were made to drink non-alcoholic beverages and made to inhale Ambrosia....yes Custard Gas!

Many just caught the flu for being erses (self included) by not wrapping up in the cool of The Dam.  Others suffered the boak due to drink but perhaps more acurately due to the sight of Gnasher removing his rugby top.
