Guys we now have a grand total of 37 going now plus Hamlet and co are camping.  Interestingly enough Ryanair have put the price up to £280 today for the Friday/Monday flights.  It's been a monumental piece of urgent house calls, mobile calls, PCs laptops and even contingency plans that for once fell into place.

It's all happened so quickly.  I hope Laura managed to get Arthur last night as that is the only person I haven't heard of yet.

Well done everyone and if there is a God let's hope he makes the game in Milano, if it's anywhere else then it's choo-choo.

So I would asume from the drastic price hike at RyanAir that the final score is:

Tap Shop Tartan Army 37  v  0 RyanAir

Definatley the Italian Job.

I've just heard that RyanAir have the Scotland Fixture list stapled to their Web Site Administrators head......Doh!!

Oh fcuk..........never thought about that. I know this seems unfair but I think we should report Gnasher to the RyanAir staff as some sort of SNLA terrorist. The guy's a fcuken jinx!!

For a wee bit info on - Where we're landing - How far away - Hotels - Camp Sites this is a good site with good links.

http://www.italyheaven.co.uk/bergamo.html

And this from the esential survival guide (Everything you'd like to know-- and should know-- about Milan's Malpensa, Linate, Bergamo and Lugano airports.):
http://www.dolcevita.com/travel/air/airport.htm

To and From Bergamo-Orio al Serio:
Bergamo Airport is located 50 km (31 miles) east of Milano and 6 km (4 miles) south of Bergamo. The national airlines serving the airport are Alitalia to Roma-Fiumicino and Azzurra Air to Roma-Ciampino, London-City and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. It is reachable by trains departing hourly from Stazioni Milano Centrale or Milano Porta Garibaldi, with a brief ride to the actual airport by bus.
Travelling time should be about an hour by train and 10 minutes by Bus. One bus leaving the airport will leave you at Piazza Castello, while the Societą Autostradale bus departing from the airport hourly will take you to the train station in Bergamo. Public bus transportation leaves for the airport from this same point. Bergamo is an important junction for several air freight companies such as, DHL and UPS. The airport is situated in one of the richest zones in all Italy. The construction of additional railway and road connections will enable the airport to work to capacity.

Mr Gnasher: (WebMaster here in disguise)

The only way is to:

  1. Phone RyanScare and plead your case.
  2. Call it quits regarding your first flight, cut your losses and book another out flight and keep your return flight.

I'm sure our own Tax Dodger Mr Stevie "Connery" Morris may have another answer.

Gnasher , I checked with ryanair because I fancied staying longer, you can fly from wednesday 23rd till following wednesday and total cost for return was £32.50 ( it might of changed already !) If you change any details on your ticket that you already have it costs £35 per person each time you amend it and the ticket that you have is non-refundable.
