Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher was Scotland's hero as they ended a 20-year wait to reach the finals of the Uefa Under-19 Championships. Fletcher's equaliser ensured that the Scots qualified by topping their group after a 1-1 draw with France in Minsk. France had taken the lead after 11 minutes, but Fletcher fired home after 67 minutes to secure the draw required. Fletcher had scored both Scotland goals on Thursday as they defeated Bulgaria 2-1, to follow a 2-1 win over Belarus. Livingston's Robert Snodgrass had given the Scots the lead against Belarus, with Hearts' Calum Elliot grabbing the winner after an equaliser.
Scotland now progress to the finals in Poland in June, having last reached that stage in 1986.
