Is it just me or is the Mid Calder Inn dying on its feet? The pub used to be a great place to meet up and drink with your mates. Now you are lucky if any of your mates are in the place. The pub is soooooo boring. Who ever owns this place really needs to stand back and have a good look at the hole before it's to late. It's needing gutted from the inside out and that includes the landlord, manager or whoever makes the decisions?
Will the last person to leave the Tap Shop please turn off the lights before detonating the bomb.
Depends when you go in, a Sunday is always a good time to catch everyone. Also at this time of the year everyone's skint saving up for Euro 2008! Decor wise I agree it's getting close (in fact very close) to a hovel but watch out for the planned revamp in March. Why should the owners spend anything just yet when 5,000 Superkings are puffed all over the place every weekend. Well worth the wait till then.
If you're no happy ma son try The Bull and fall asleep..
I think the personal attack on the manager and owner is uncalled for, this is not the place for this, if you have problems with the pub, take it up with the manager, not using our forum as a voicepiece. Malky has shown the Tap Shop Tartan Army great support over the years, more than any other manager has, and if you are a regular there, you will know that he is planning to decorate after the smoking ban comes into effect. .
