Delighted with the Burley appt, but I cannae decide on Butcher.

If Burley thinks he can do a job, and he feels comfortable working alongside him, then it'll do for me.

Hating Gordon Smith just now though - I'd actually rather have David Taylor as chief exec again, at least he interviewed with a bit of class. Every time Smith opens his mooth he just sounds so effing condescending.

The Big Man will always be English, but it was plain to see during his time at Ibrox, reading publications that he's been involved in, and the fact that his family was settled here for a great length of time;that he LOVES Scotland. And sorry, but someone with that type of passion? Like in the photo there? I'd rather he was on my side than not, put it that way.

I for one am glad we have appointed Butcher. I am the first to admit that when it comes to Scotland v England matches (or anyone versus England) then I am praying for England to get hammered, but that's football. When it comes to individuals, then I cant simply dislike someone 'cos their English......christ, I thought we were bigger than that.
We have always had English players in our team/squad, so what is the difference with an Englishman in our management team?
The guy is a true proffensional and will give 100% commitment to our national team.
