Next month's international between Scotland and Sweden is to be played at Easter Road Stadium in Edinburgh, rather than Hampden Park. The game will take place on Wednesday, 17 November, with an 8.00 pm kick-off.
The Scottish FA has decided to play the game in Edinburgh rather than the national stadium in the light of recent results, with the Hibernian ground likely to generate a better atmosphere for the team. "It is only realistic to expect a smaller crowd for this match, and with Hampden likely to fall well short of capacity, we hope that the fans will come along to back the national team in Edinburgh. We have had a great crowd for the two recent friendlies at Easter Road, against Canada in 2002 and against Trinidad and Tobago in May this year."
Prices for the match have been set at sensible levels, with tickets costing just £10 to £15, with an extensive family section at £7 for adults and £3 for accompanied children. Tickets will go on sale in early November.
Meanwhile, Scotland Under 21s will play Sweden U21s at Falkirk Stadium on Tuesday, 16 November, with a 6.00 pm kick-off. Admission to this match will be £5 for adults and £2 concessions.
