Walter Smith

Would appear the former Rangers and Everton boss seems to be in the limelight as possible successor to berti (should he get sacked.. which i think he will). Ps- would like to see Burns go with him.

Really don't see Smith as the man to take us forward, he didn't do too well at Everton (apart from get them almost bankrupt) and at Rangers.. well would say he pretty much took over the 'Souness set up' with a few additions.

What does everyone think? Step in the right direction re him being scottish but wouldn't welcome him on board..

On the other hand you could say beggars can be choosers.. who else would want the job? Would love to see Strachan in there.. would he take the job??

Just glad I made it to France, the future doesnt seem so good for forthcoming competitions!!

I do not think Walter Smith is the right candidate for the job in hand for the same reasons as yourself Ross. Strachan is the only suitable candidate. The SFA should do the right thing and spend extra cash in getting Strachan. It's the people choice and for once the suits should actually start listening. Two mistakes may well end up costing Taylor his job.
