Right, here’s the detail for the trip, which promises to be the biggest Tartan Army Train trip since the great days of the 1970s invasions of London!!

Outward journey

Monday 10th September 2007

Private Train’The Tartan Special’ with 680 footsoldiers

Glasgow Central 11pm(tbc), overnight to London Waterloo, arriving circa 05:30.

Tuesday 11th September 2007

Then groups travel on 2 consecutive Eurostars (time to meet the locals!)

Depart London Waterloo 07:09 (350 seats) and   08:12 (350 seats)

Arrive Paris gare du Nord 10:59                        and    11:47

Thursday 13th September 2007

Group Travel on 2 consecutive Eurostars

Paris gare du Nord 18 :16 (340 seats)   19 :19 (340 seats)

Accommodation- two nights in Paris inclusive in cost. (Twin rooms and some three person rooms)

All rooms are booked are in 2/3 star hotels. Due to Rugby World Cup these rooms are like gold dust but we’ve managed to get our tartan hands on them first!!!

We will endeavour to book you in same hotel as those you are booking with where possible.

Just to let you know the price is slightly higher than originally estimated due to Eurostar cancelling their charter trains in September due to Rugby WC and needing their trains for line testing from their new planned lines from London. However not to be outdone we have block booked 2 Eurostar trains instead from London to Paris, so the party will continue! This has pushed the price up slightly (however we are getting a discount from Eurostar), but there was no other way round this.

Everyone is invited to attend the pre-train party prior to boarding the train.This will take place in a boozer near the station in Glasgow. Good music and company and a few beers too, to get us all in the mood! Full details to follow.

G5 Films will capture the trip for the next Tartan Army Video and of course all the pics and news will be in the Famous Tartan Army Magazine and…. Just think of our triumphant return if we’ve qualified!!!.

It is also highly likely that there will be other media interest in this wee trip too!

To make it easier for people to pay we are accepting payments for £150 p/p, which will secure your booking to be, paid ASAP. We must stress that interest in this trip has been phenomenal and booking has to be on a first come first served basis. It is likely that some people may be disappointed so we would stress a prompt reply.
