Hot news troops. Today I got official confirmation that our guest speaker for the dance will be ex-Scotland Manager (and better than anyone of our members at burd-pulling) Mr Craig Brown.

...and there's more Whyte and Mackay are paying for it and giving us a case of whiskey for the raffle!

I believe it was agreed at the AGM that the dance was to be this date.

It was actually to be a Saturday but in the mad rush for someone else to organise things (as usual the silence was deafening) by the time we decided to do it all that was left was a Friday but we did give plenty of notice see thread here. A first time Sponsorship deal with Whyte & Mackay worth £500 was too good to turn down.

I've been to 1576s offices in Edinburgh and picked up 6 bottles of whisky and 6 of vodka carried them 400 yards to the car and they are ready to go next week. Your committee have organised a hall, disco, buffet and speaker too. Maybe you want to do it next year Zico?

We did give as much notice as we could to everyone so that they might try to get the time off work and I understand of course it doesn't suit everyone in terms of flexibility and we do apologose for that. I believe you had a choice and chose to take Sunday off instead Zico.

Friday or Saturday. Neither day would have suited everyone. A good percentage of the TSTA  go and support their teams on a Saturday and I for one am glad it's on a Friday.

Saturday is for football. Not for taking the wives out.

Should print a big version of this as a backdrop for Chick. He may look semi sober but I swear he was ready to plummet to the ground like an Earth bound comet when we let him go!!!!!!

Aye right!! I only suggested that we could sneak up to the bar for a few drams and you were up at the bar faster than a.......eh.....a fast bar runner upper?
It was purely for experimental reasons. It took 6 measures but I can confirm that whiskey does taste the same as billy-goats puke!!
After winning a bottle of Voddy (also known as Lizard Bile) and a bottle of Whiskey (Billy-goats puke), another experiment will proceed.
What gets you more drunk - Billygoats puke or Lizard Bile?

Watch this space Sunday morning for full results.

PS.
Make that Sunday afternoon......late-ish
