All right team, the games are getting closer and the ticket applications are in.
Are we going to send them off as one group as usual. If so when you starting collecting at HQ and when you stopping, just so I can get my arse in gear and get my forms in
sending them as a group from HQ. do not know when the cut of date is. i called uncle steve last night. he told me.
for the home game we are having a party at gazza's house before the pub opens. dont know any of the times because he is a wee bit scared of letting me into his house the day before he goes on holiday. he thinks i am " up tae somin "

im not moaning, but could someone put this info on the web page as not all of us are in hq every day. some of us are not even allowed in at the weekend........ aint that right morris

Home game v Moldova - Dry yer peepers, you were to put your name up on the board for the home game in TSTA HQ by Monday night. You know the score you will have had your travel club form for 2 weeks too. You've been in both of the last two Monday nights when its been on display. If you've not done so you will have to get your own ticket. We agreed at the AGM that the board in HQ was the place to put all the info on NOT the website, as not everyone had access. Vicey has ordered tickets for those who did so. Even Big Stuff remembered! If your name is on the board then the club will buy your ticket for you and you pay for it on the bus on the day of the game. Anyone who puts their name up and fails to turn up has to pay up, or be sine died (again AGM issue).
Away game in Belarus - Again Vicey will send everything off together so that we will be sitting together but he will save paper and postage by using one form. You don't need to tell us if you are going you divvy because we know how many flights and hotels we booked, don't worry we won't forget anyone. We will also book a minibus to take us to Edinburgh airport on the morning of 05/05/05.
Moldova tickets - Paul I take your point but we are all adults here are we not? Please take this in the right way but wiping erses is a no-no from now on unless someone else wants Vicey's ticket job (big silences there in Mid Calder cyberspace I think!) We tried using here as an additional place to take numbers and only 15 of our 75 "paid" members have bothered to register and some have only used it one or two times. It simply didn't work as an experiment hence, why we agreed at the AGM to go back to the TSTA HQ "drawing" board.
As soon as you get your form the golden rule now is to get it down to HQ. If you can't make it then contact one of the committee to say you are going. The deadline on the form for reaching the SFA is Saturday 7th May, that means, allowing for first class post worst case scenario of 3 days we had to send them yesterday at the latest. Allowing for the fact Davy works shifts and he too can only be at TSTA HQ on certain nights then Monday it was. I suggest you call the SSC and ask for tickets near us. Sorry but I hope you understand the reasons. We also hav eto book the bus and the final numbers for that will need tobe known by this coming Monday. Do you want your name up for the bus?
Having read the above comments, I feel I need to make a post to defend what Stevie is getting at.
We have 80 members of the forum (that's minus the 8 double acts.....) Out of those 80, only 20 have accessed the forum this year!! So the forum cannot be used as the main info area.
I myself have relied on the site as being my main source of info but have seen a decline in this area. Certaily for our foreign members, Harty, Caz, Severed, the Thacks etc... it can be their first and only stop for club updates.
In perspective, we need to decide whether we use the site as an info point at all. There is certainly no point in providing info on certain areas of club outings unless we supply in for all.
But as Stevie pointed out, you would be surprised how very few of our members have actually visited this site, never mind the forum.
Would the last person to leave the web site, please turn the lights off........
I fully understand your point stevie and it is not a dig at you or the comittee as you all do an excellent job.
Even just a quick post here on the message board or an email to let people know the deadline for getting in to HQ is enough for the exiles only. Anyone in mid calder have no excuses for not going to HQ.
in my defence I only got my form last Thursday the 28/4/05 hence me starting the topic then.
Everyone who is in the travel club gets their applications round about the same time as I do, so you all know when the application forms have to be in for.If i've got time to write, print and display a notice on the board, collect the notice before the deadline, write up the ticket application forms, and send them off to meet the deadline, then you surely have time to put your name on it!

If you are not in the travel club, there is a list on here of forthcoming games, work it out for yourself that we will more than likely be going to these games. sorry, that was sarcasm there...We will be going to these games.

If you dont have regular access to a computer, or not in the pub very often, then any newspapaper will let you know that a game is coming up, let someone know if you want to go, and they can put your name down.

Remember, the committee are members too, we all have to put our names down for tickets.
