SFA Ticket Decision Made

Only SSC members who applied are getting a ticket. So for TSTA members, who are not also SSC members, you are stuffed unless.....you try the following:

You need to convince an SSC member to get up to call the ticket hotline (an 0870 number) at 9.00 a.m. next Saturday morning and tell them to be prepared to use their credit card to buy you a ticket and get it delivered to them for you. They will be charged a processing fee and a credit card charge will apply. You will be sitting on your tod like Norman nae Mates as tickets will be randomly allocated across the Stadium and will therefore will vary in cost and view as well as possibly being much further away from our bus.

35,000 tickets are already sold allegedly to SSC and Hampden debentures. That leaves maybe 20,000 you might think? Try again, the prawn sandwich brigade have to get their share. The SFA haven't even had the decency to say how many there will be available to buy on the hotline and used the term "a few thousand" whatever that means. Legally that means anywhere between 2,000 and 20,000. My guess is that the actual number will be a lot closer to the first one I mentioned.

Not only that the last time the SFA used a hotline free-for-all, albeit for a public sale, the system crashed. Furthermore incidentally, your SSC pal will also be subjected to up to an hour's worth of Greensleeves ringing through their ears whilst their porridge gets cold. They may also instigate legal action should repetitive stress disorder set in after hitting the telephone keypad too often in succession.

We have a shambles on our hands, through no fault of our own, with no thought about how we as a club are supposed to ensure we have the right size of bus ordered, or pre-match party numbers. In short it's an ill advised free for all, well maybe free for all the dark suited politicians that somehow will wangle a ticket but if you are not an SSC member you can kiss your brief goodbye! Acutally is Rod Stewart an SSC member come to think of it? He probably is but frustration is kicking in here.

Don't blame the office girls at the SSC they have always been fantastic. This decision comes from above and is contrary to the views of our members and those of other Association of Tartan Army Clubs. Our views count for nothing in this instance and at least we know where we stand.

So you've not missed a home qualifier, made it to a few away games and not even lost your glengarry. You've undergone intensive research by consuming copius quantities of our sponsors product as well as over-dosed on pear cider. None of this now counts a jot. In many ways it serves you right, we told you so but it does not detract from the unfairness and unjust tactics used by the SFA this time around.

Excerpt from our AGM Minutes "The Committee encourgaged everyone to join the SSC as it's the only way to guarantee to see a home game and get a chance of an away ticket. We can't emphasise this enough, especially given the group we have this year we could be in Milan (OK we got that wrong) or Paris".

So did anyone spend Sunday morning phoning the SFA for extra tickets?
My mate Gordon phoned and got 3 extra tickets. No problems at all. So maybe it wasn't the fiasco we all expected............

C'mon the Scots. Get into these pasta munching, pizza spinning, moped riding hoofters!!
