Just a wee note to mention that I would reckon the the pewter finish would be a benifit over the silver plated finish as the pewter is a natural metal and as there is no plating the finish would not deteriote. It is practically the same as the silver exept not as shiny. Most Kilt Pins that you own are acually pewter and not silver........
