Sounds like a decent wee day/night out. I will have to review the finances as I have the Austria tour to subsidise and recover from the week before that.
I would definately be up for Rambo-ing it though. None of this comfy-bed-gay sh1te!!

I've added it to the forum calendar, (see forum menu bar) which everyone can access and also add events you think are important.

This trip sounds good to me and the boys,what is the name of the campsite as I might take my motorhome up ( no rambo-ing it for me webmaster!) and will have to book it in as the sites are usually busy.

i dont know what the site is called. its a stones throw past the drovers on the right. i doubt you will need to book in. it is a massive field. ive never seen it half full. some of the dole collectors are away on the friday but i am heading up on saturday morning to get them up. cheers

The campsite is the Beinglas Farm Campsite , but it does not allow motor homes or caravans only tents and trailer tents, but the drovers has got a big car park and grounds at the rear of the pub where you could park up for the night , loads of people kip up for the night in there cars idea

aye. remember when gazza thought it was one of those dogging sites and went down for a sniff about. he was caught with a handfull of meat and two veg peeking into one of the campervans.

Me and Kirsty are up for coming through however we will have to make our own way there as she is working till 6 on the saturday!

thanks for info,
I have spoken to the staff at the site and because my camper van is only small they will allow me to use the site,however if anyone is thinking about parking up and sleeping in their cars at the drovers car park the new management will not allow this anymore as the police have informed them that anyone sleeping in their cars or camper vans outwith a designated site are liable to face charges for drink driving because although you may not be sleeping in the drivers seat you can still be prosecuted.
How true is it

That is true about sleeping in cars etc, it is the law that you can be done if drunk . None of us that are going up are going to sleep in cars anyway most of us are camping and a few are staying in the drovers. There will still be a lot of people that stay over at the drovers car park, and I think that the owner will tell you what he told you because he will not wont his car park turned in too a campsite plus he has rooms to rent .

So what's the final count of footsoldiers/soldierettes going to Loch Lomond Gnash? It seems we are going to be sprinkled around the country side like scattered sheep.
Some of us "Big Hunting, Knife wielding, Bad Ass Bros" rambo-ing it in tents while some "Blouse wearing, HandBag wielding, gymslips" are playing it safe and sleeping in vans, caravans and b&b's whilst being tucked up in beds by their mums.

there are 2 squadrons being deployed for this trip!

the first led by zico gilmour are away on the friday. he will have roughly 10-15 troops at his disposal. his primary objective is to set up base camp and get pished. the second squad led by myself will set of on satuday morning armed to the teeth with refreshments. we will meet them on the banks of the loch at appoximatly 12. there is a solid 6 in my troop. two cars.

P.S. big alan is coming so i hope some b@stard tries it!!! biggrin

six of us going up on the friday leaving about 5pm so should be there for 7 ish
I am not going to take the campervan as the webmaster has got me paraniod and I couldnt get a blouse big enough to fit me !!!!!!

This has to be the statement of all statements when a bit of rain stopped any of the so called big hunting knife wielding bad ass bros from bothering to come up to Loch Lomond

On behalf of the guys who did make the effort to go to this "official trip" we would like to thank everyone involved in allowing us to go on your wee trip and we hope that your mums tucked you up nice and tightly
